M. Pereira Sterling Silver Pernambuco Violin Bow

Founded in the United States in 2004, L’Archet Brasil had a mission to distribute bows made by skilled luthiers in Brazil. The business model was that L’Archet would distribute the bows in the U.S. and the bowmakers would retain their independence. L’Archet has since expanded to Europe and Japan. In Portugal, they have five bowmakers and three apprentices.

This bow was handmade in Portugal for J.R. Judd Violins. Round-section pernambuco violin bow mounted in sterling silver with silver winding accented with black thread. The fully-lined ebony frog has mother-of-pearl for both the Parisian eyes and the slide. A leather thumb grip and solid silver adjuster finish this bow.
