Gotthard Schuster was one of the most renowned bowmakers of the 20th century. Trained by his father and achieving worldwide recognition, Gotthard eventually settled in Bubenreuth after World War II where he maintained his shop until his death in 1987. This bow from a modern master will be sure to please any advanced player or professional.
Octagonal-section pernambuco bow will full sterling silver mount. The ebony frog has mother-of-pearl Parisian eyes and slide, and the bow is finished with a sterling silver button. The maker's stamp is on the player side of the bow, his G Sch overlaid on an arrow stamp is on the frog, and “Made in Germany” is stamped on the underside of the bow between the frog and the button.
