Fischer opened his musical instrument repair shop in the East Village of New York City. He supplemented his income by supplying musicians with sheet music and freelancing as a violinist in several orchestras throughout the city.
The violin features fine German craftsmanship in the arching and scroll work. The violin is in great condition, showing some natural wear from being played and well-loved.
The tone on the violin is rich and smooth like a good cup of dark roast coffee. The sound leans that way- on the dark side- but still is sweet and pleasant to listen to. Its responsiveness is instant and it articulates like you would expect a higher-priced instrument to do. In short, it is just a delight to play.
