Dalla Chiesa Sterling Silver Special Pajeot Style Violin Bow

Founded in the United States in 2004, L’Archet Brasil had a mission to distribute bows made by skilled luthiers in Brazil. The business model was that L’Archet would distribute the bows in the U.S. and the bowmakers would retain their independence. L’Archet has since expanded to Europe and Japan. In Portugal, they have five bowmakers and three apprentices.

The bow was handmade in Portugal for J.R. Judd Violins and is round-section, pernambuco, and mounted in sterling silver with silver winding. The ebony frog features large Pajeot-style mother-of-pearl eyes. The frog is fully-lined with the same mother-of-pearl as the slide. The mother-of-pearl used for the eyes and slide are delicately lovely. The bow is finished with a leather thumb grip, imitation ivory tip, and a three-piece silver and ebony adjuster.
