This is a fine handmade bass bow by Benjamin Mohr, son of bow maker Rodney Mohr. The bow was handmade in Ashland, Ohio in March 2025. The bow is katalox specie in round section. Katalox grows in Southern Mexico, Central America, and Northern South America. The wood is being used for bass bows because of its exceptional strength. The notable characteristics of katalox wood are uniform texture, fine tight grain, and a natural luster to the wood which is quite evident in this bow. Katalox is a durable wood of high density and is also used for pool cues.

The bow is sterling silver mounted with a blind eye frog that looks very classic. The frog features a very colorful abalone pearl slide and a three-piece sterling silver and katalox end button.

The overall length of the bow is 27 1/4”

The playing hair length is 21 1/2″
