The 500 Series violins raise the bar for student level instruments. They are carefully constructed under the guidance of Anton Krutz in his Beijing workshop, and this ensures a fine appearance, warm sound, and easy playability. Upon arrival at his Kansas City workshop, they are gone over professionally. They are in turn sent to us to complete the ebony fitting work and set up for the best sound. KRUTZ Series instruments produce a higher tonal quality at a more competitive price.
The violin is made up of a seasoned spruce top, a seasoned 20-year-old quilted one-piece maple back, and the ribs and scroll match the back. For a student instrument, this one has it all: highly flamed European wood, inlaid purfling, acoustically enhanced wood sealer antique oil varnish, ebony fittings, Thomastik Dominant strings, and a German Wittner tailpiece with 4 fine tuners. The French Despiau Bridge, new soundpost, ebony pegs with ebony pin work, fingerboard, and nut were done in our shop.
